Ages 7 - 16. All skill and experience levels, boys and girls, are invited to join the SUNY Ulster Men's Soccer coaches and players for a week of soccer instruction and fun! Instruction will focus on the development of individual ball skills, how and when to use these new skills in game situations and the importance of team play. Dress and Gear - Please bring a soccer ball with your name on it; we will have extras if you do not have one. You will also need shin guards, and cleats as well as sneakers for when you are inside. Lunch - Please bring a lunch that requires no refrigeration and a reusable/refillable water bottle. Jamal Lis-Simmons is currently the head coach for the Men's Soccer program at SUNY Ulster, entering his 3rd season. Prior to Ulster, Jamal served as an assistant coach for the men's soccer program at SUNY New Paltz from 2012-2016. He also led the Highland Varsity Boys program from 2004-2006. Jamal is also currently the team captain for Stockade FC of the NPSL. He helped lead Stockade FC to their first ever Conference Title in 2017 and earned 1st Team all NPSL honors. Prior to Stockade Jamal played college soccer at SUNY New Paltz from 2010-2012 and SUNY Albany from 2000-2002. He was also a 3time participate in the Empire State Games from 2006-2008. He will also be the head coach for Stockade FC. Dan Hoffay is currently an assistant coach for the Men's Soccer program at SUNY Ulster, entering his second season. He has been working as Director of Personnel for Stockade FC since 2016 and has recently been promoted to Technical Director, overseeing day-to-day soccer operations, and is the Director of the Stockade FC Youth Program. Dan has previously led the varsity soccer program at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, has worked as an assistant for the varsity team at Highland High School and sat on the board of directors for Highland United FC. Coach Dan has countless hours of experience organizing programs across the Hudson Valley; including tournaments for the Michael Oremus Foundation and Highland United FC. Dan has over 10 years of soccer camp experience at Bright Horizons at Casperkill (Now Gold's Gym Summer Camp) and Bard Soccer Camp.
