Course will help to prepare students for the Test Assessing Secondary Competency (TASC)
SUNY Ulster Offers High School Equivalency Class this Fall
October 15, 2019 – Kingston, NY – The SUNY Ulster Office of Continuing and Professional Education will offer a course to help prepare students for the Test Assessing Secondary Competency (TASC) needed to earn the High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma from October to December 2019.
Designed for students who did not graduate from high school but want a certificate equivalent to a traditional high school diploma, the program provides instruction and comprehensive review in language arts, writing, reading, math, science, and social studies. The course will also focus on preparing students for college and assist those seeking enrollment in a SUNY Ulster degree or certificate program. Passing the TASC exam provides an opportunity for adults to continue their education. SUNY Ulster accepts GED/TASC graduates who meet its qualifications for admission.
The TASC class will be offered at the Kingston Center, 94 Mary’s Avenue. The class meets Monday through Thursday from October 21 through December 4, with no classes held on October 31, November 11, November 27, and November 28. The class runs from 8:30 – 11:45 a.m. The fee for the class is $20, and pre-registration is required.
