SUNY Ulster Hosts Discussion with Author and TV Personality Bruce Littlefield on November 8

October 25, 2018 – Stone Ridge, NY On Thursday, November 8th, nationally recognized author and TV personality Bruce Littlefield will visit SUNY Ulster as part of the Herbert H. & Sofia P. Reuner Library Writers Series. The event, titled “What’s Your Story?” will begin at 1:15 p.m. in the College Lounge. The discussion will be moderated by SUNY Ulster English Professor Goretti Benca. Littlefield will read from some of his works and have two Q&A sessions, one moderated by Professor Benca and one open to the audience. A book signing will follow.

 

Bruce Littlefield’s story began in a small South Carolina mill town and led him to New York, where he first became a model and best-selling author, TV personality, and arbiter of American fun. He shares his passionate curiosity (and occasional mischievousness) through his books, TV appearances, and “Dinner Party Talk,” his weekly romp through American culture. Bruce has written 17 books and appeared on NBC, CBS, ABC News, FOX News, MSNBC, The Rachael Ray Show, NPR, Sirius, and numerous other programs, and has been featured in the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the New York PostOprahPeople MagazineOK! The SUNY Ulster Herbert H. & Sofia P. Reuner Library Writers Series is a special program that began in 1998, sponsored by the Ulster Community College Foundation, Inc. which brings renowned writers to campus every fall. This is a truly unique opportunity for SUNY Ulster students and community members to hear award-winning authors read from their work.
