SUNY Ulster Offers Art of Bartending with TIPS Training this Fall

October 3, 2018, Stone Ridge, NY  The SUNY Ulster Office of Continuing and Professional Education will offer an Art of Bartending course that includes TIPS training. The course is hands-on and presents an introduction to the field of bartending. The class covers preparation of both standard and exotic drinks, as well as the art of presentation, customer interactions, and the responsibilities that accompany this job. The course will be held on Monday evenings, October 15 – November 5 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and will meet at the Kingston Power Boat Association in Kingston.

This class includes the TIPS Training for On-Premise, which is a dynamic, skills-based training program designed to prevent alcohol abuse, drunk driving, and underage drinking by enhancing fundamental people skills. TIPS is held on Saturday, October 27 at the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster, 94 Mary’s Avenue in Kingston, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Students must be at least 18 years old to attend.
