SUNY Ulster Offers High School Equivalency Classes this Fall

October 4, 2018, Stone Ridge, NY   The SUNY Ulster Office of Continuing and Professional Education will offer a course to help prepare students for the Test Assessing Secondary Competency (TASC) needed to earn the High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.

Designed for students who did not graduate from high school but want a certificate equivalent to the traditional high school diploma, the program provides instruction in language arts, writing, reading, math, science, and social studies. The course will also focus on preparing students for college and assisting those seeking enrollment in a SUNY Ulster degree or certificate program. Passing the TASC exam provides an opportunity for adults to continue their education. SUNY Ulster accepts GED/TASC graduates who meet its qualifications for admission.

The class will meet Monday through Thursday from October 22 - December 6. The session runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and meets at the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster, 94 Mary’s Avenue in Kingston. The fee for each class is $20, and pre-registration is required.
