SUNY Ulster Announces Fall Continuing and Professional Education Courses
and Holds Kingston Information Session

Professional certification, college preparation, enrichment programs and driver safety are among the full line-up of offerings this fall through SUNY Ulster’s Continuing and Professional Education.

Interested students can learn more about the fall courses and programs at an information session Aug. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Business Resource Center (BRC) in Kingston. Courses are offered at the BRC and Stone Ridge campus. The newly released 68-page catalog provides listings of the courses, providing students with the opportunities to “learn more, earn more and grow more.”

SUNY Ulster offers more than 30 professional certification programs in areas with good employment outlooks, including advanced manufacturing, energy efficiency, clean energy, healthcare, business and entrepreneurship. In addition, it offers academic preparation programs, including a High School Equivalency Diploma Preparation Program, SAT and ACT Prep, and English as a Second Language classes.

SUNY Ulster’s enrichment programs range from fitness, wellness, music and dance to creative and studio arts, and cooking. Also available is driver education programs and defensive driving, including a Motorcycle Safety School to prepare students for the motorcycle license road test. Several international and domestic travel programs in the arts and ecology also are open to the public.

Veteran-approved training is offered in advanced manufacturing, clean energy, energy efficiency (pending approval), and business and professional areas at SUNY Ulster’s “military friendly” campus.
