This course focuses on the study of some of the more significant theories of personality as proposed by psychologist in major schools of thought, including psychoanalytic, behavioral, dispositional and constructivist. Students gain understanding of the assumptions underlying each theory. Personality assessment instruments are examined using measures of validity, reliability and normative data. Prerequisite: ENG 101 and PSY 101.
