This course describes the architecture, components, and operation of routers, and explains the principles of routing and routing protocols following Cisco Academy recommendations. Students are presented with tools used for intermediate level router configuration. They will analyze, configure, verify, and troubleshoot the primary routing protocols RIPv1, RIPv2, EIGRP, and OSPF. Dedicated and extensive labs allow students to analyze real world data without affecting production networks. Emphasis is given to the use of decision making and problem solving techniques. Prerequisite: NET 101.
