This course is intended to introduce the students to the methodology of mathematical proofs. Topics include basic logic, set theory, cardinality of sets, relations, functions, basic number theory. Topics from the "foundation of mathematics" are developed to provide students with an opportunity to read and write proofs. This course is designed for, but not limited to, those intending to major in mathematics or mathematical education. Pre or Corequisite: MAT 180.
