SUNY Ulster Offers Non-Profit Grant Writing and Crowdfunding Courses this Fall
October 2, 2019 – Kingston, NY – The SUNY Ulster Office of Continuing and Professional Education is offering two courses specifically designed for non-profit grant writers this fall at the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster. Each course focuses on the craft of grant writing and provides an opportunity for participants to receive personal guidance on a grant they are currently writing.
Grant Writing for Effective Non-Profit Fundraising
This course introduces students to best practices for foundation grant writing. Each student will write a grant application, including need statements, goals, step-by-step action plans, assessments, and budget documents. Students will learn to write clearly and with impact. Appropriate for non-profit professionals and current students.
Dates: 10/17/2019 – 11/21/2019
Time: 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Note: 11/14 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Fundraising via Crowdfunding
Students will learn to create effective crowdfunding campaigns using written descriptions, visuals and videos, and on-going communications. These marketable skills can be used in a range of careers. Each student will create and post a crowdfunding project. Appropriate for non-profit professionals and current students.
