SUNY Ulster Offers Selection of Summer Internships
April 25, 2019 – Stone Ridge, NY – This summer, SUNY Ulster is offering a variety of professional internships for students. Students in Veterinary Technology, Theatre, Engineering, Criminal Justice, Fashion, Business, and many more can complete their internship credits over a Summer Session lasting from May 20 - July 1.
Students have the opportunity to intern at many different businesses and organizations throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond. This summer, students can intern at the Center for Photography in Woodstock, Karina Dresses, the Hudson River Maritime Museum, the Pine Ridge Dude Ranch, Chronogram Magazine, the Trevor Zoo, and many more. Several internships offer payment as well. In addition to matching students to an internship through advisement, students may also bring in their own internship opportunities that they have found to receive credit.
Alumnus Sonia Marshall, ’14, worked as a Digital Marketing Intern for Columbia Records/Sony Music Entertainment through the SUNY Ulster internship program. She went on to work as a Social & Digital Analytics College Marketing Representative for Sony Music Entertainment. Sonia says, “My internship through SUNY Ulster helped me to solidify my interest in the music industry and provided me with an invaluable experience at Sony Music. Because of my internship I have made many mentors and learned skills I will take with me for the rest of my life.”
