SUNY Ulster Offers High School Equivalency Classes This Spring
SUNY Ulster will offer a course to help prepare students for the Test Assessing Secondary Competency (TASC) needed to earn the High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
Designed for students who did not graduate from high school but want a certificate equivalent to the traditional high school diploma, the program provides instruction in language arts, writing, reading, math, science and social studies. The course also will focus on preparing students for college and assist those seeking enrollment in a SUNY Ulster degree or certificate program. Passing the TASC exam provides an opportunity for adults to continue their education.
SUNY Ulster accepts GED/TASC graduates who meet its qualifications for admission. The class will meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from February 13 through March 23. The session runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and meets at the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster, 94 Mary’s Avenue in Kingston. The Course fee is $20.
