Mid-Hudson Small Business Development Center Wins 2013 Service Excellence and Innovation Award

Hosted by SUNY Ulster, the Mid-Hudson Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has been recognized with the 2013 Service Excellence and Innovation Award from the NY City District of the Small Business Administration.

The center was selected by an esteemed panel of judges as the best from 12 locations in the district. It is now in the running to receive state and then national honors.

“We have an extremely talented and committed team of people who love what we do. Our clients and doing something positive for them are the most important things to us,” said Mid-Hudson SBDC Regional Director Dr. Arnaldo Sehwerert, who will accept the award on behalf of the regional center at a ceremony in New York on May 21 honoring winners during Small Business Week.

The Mid-Hudson SBDC is one of 24 centers in the state’s network. Covering a seven county area it is considered as one of the top centers in the amount of funds secured for Mid-Hudson clients and numbers of jobs created or saved for area small businesses. The center is partially funded by the U.S. SBA and the Catskill Watershed Corporation. The Mid-Hudson SBDC offer no-cost professional and confidential business counseling for new or existing businesses.
